好消息：外籍人员以自然人身份或通过本人以自然人身份作为控股股东的公司企业，在上海市直接投资、连续3年投资情况稳定、投资数额合计达到100万美元（国家颁布的《外商投资产业指导目录》鼓励类产业投资合计达到50万美元）以上且纳税记录良好的，可直接申请在华永久居留（其外籍配偶和未成年子女可随同申请）

Good News: Foreign personnel can directly apply for permanent residence in China (his/her foreign spouse and minor children can apply at the same time), only if the foreign personnel as a natural person or company with a good tax record, with the foreign natural person himself/herself as the controlling shareholder makes direct investment in Shanghai for three consecutive years with the total investment amount of over one million US dollars (five hundred thousand dollars for encouraged industries as stipulated in the Catalogue of Industries for Guiding Foreign Investment).
